In the next twenty years, over half of our current electricity generating capacity, comprising 95% of Minnesota’s greenhouse gas emissions, will likely be outdated or not cost competitive. Clean Energy First is the common sense approach to maximizing benefits to Minnesotans by using clean energy every time it is reliable and affordable.

Did you know that statewide, 40% of our lakes and rivers are considered impaired by pollution, and unsafe for swimming or fishing? Minnesota needs a clear and comprehensive goal for clean water. Clean Water 2040 is legislation to commit to clean water.

Traffic and congestion can lead to poor air quality resulting in asthma and other health problems. With Minnesota’s population increasing by a million new residents in the next 20 years, we need to invest in a robust transportation system to avoid congestion and protect our clean air.
